Intimacy Coordinators Canada - Quebec (ICCQ) represents a collective of certified Intimacy Coordinators trained in the Intimacy Directors & Coordinators (IDC) methodology specifically for film and television. These professionals have been trained by the first SAG-AFTRA accredited program for Intimacy Coordination in Canada and represent the highest standard in intimacy artistry for the screen.

Mo Matton

(They/Them)

ICC - Quebec representative

Mo Matton is a queer and trans Intimacy Coordinator certified by Intimacy Coordinators Canada (ICC) and Intimacy Professionals Association (IPA). With over 100 intimacy scene credits and a decade of experience in the film industry, Mo also holds a Masters in Media Studies and a Bachelor in Film Studies and Gender Studies. Their approach is creative, compassionate and direct, attentive to the well-being of performers and to the artistic vision of the director. They are committed to providing a safer work experience, integrating anti-oppressive and consent-forward practices on set.

They have developed workshops on trans inclusion for the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) and facilitated Intimacy Coordinating educational workshops and talks for UDA, Festival du Nouveau Cinema (FNC) and various theatre and film faculties.

Mimi Côté (She/Her)

Mimi Côté is an intimacy coordinator and choreographer based in Montreal and Toronto. She is certified by Intimacy Coordinators Canada (CAN) and the Intimacy Professionals Association (USA). With over 14 years of experience as an actress and stunt performer on various North American sets, from film to television to theatre, commercial, and video games, she has extensive expertise in preparing and executing scenes involving nudity, simulated sex, and/or sensitive content. In her approach, Mimi places great importance on celebrating the performers who bring those scenes to life on screen, as well as their creators. Her commitment is to provide productions with guidance that meets the highest industry standards for on-screen intimacy while also promoting optimal working environments for everyone involved. She firmly believes that the most memorable stories emerge primarily from dignity, creativity, and risk-taking.

Stephanie Breton (She/Her)

Currently based in Portugal

With over 30 projects as an Intimacy Coordinator in less than 2 years, Stephanie has built an extensive resume. Some of the most known projects include Beau is Afraid (A24, Directed by Ari Aster), The Recruit (Netflix) and Plan B (S.1). Since 2018, she’s put in over 100 hours of training as an Intimacy Professional. For the stage with various teachers at IDC (Intimacy Directors and Coordinators) and since 2021 with ICC (Intimacy Coordinators Canada). She is a bilingual actor (ACTRA / UDA / CAEA member) that has been working for over 20 years in countless productions: on screen, in theatre and video games . She’s directed over a dozen theatre productions, both in French and English. She also has experience as a dramaturg and co-artistic director of a festival of short plays. She was also a figure skating coach and choreographer for almost 20 years and teaching Intimacy for the stage and screen is really a passion of hers.

Jen Viens (They/She)

Jen Viens is a queer filmmaker and coach with over fifteen years of experience in film, television, and stage.

Before relocating to Montreal, Jen owned and operated a theatre school and production company in British Columbia. They specialized in unique classes and workshops for kids of all ages. The focus of instruction ranged from structured improv, to filmmaking, to physical theatre. In addition, Jen has been actively working as a producer, actor, director and writer in the film industry for over ten years.

 In the past several years, Jen as branched out and lent her knowledge and expertise to many different milieus, including coaching business professionals in public speaking, performing improvised scenarios for corporate training sessions, and coaching professional actors of all ages in scene study.

In addition to a strong background in theatre and film, Jen has extensive experience in project and team management, event coordination, and community support. They have dedicated many hours and years to training in anti-oppression, conflict resolution, mental health support and constructive communication, to name a few. These fields have allowed Jen to cultivate skills in collaboration, leadership, critical thinking, and attention to detail. These skills, together with a solution-oriented perspective, a growth mindset, and ten plus years of one-on-one and on-set coaching allow Jen to facilitate scenes of intimacy in a variety of settings, for diverse communities, with an attentive and tailor-made approach that addresses specific goals and personal boundaries.

Jen has a deep love for storytelling, and aims to make it a safer, healthier place, one intimate scene at a time.

Sandrine Brodeur-Desrosiers (She/Her)

Sandrine Brodeur-Desrosiers holds a BFA in Film Production at Concordia University and an MFA in Acting at the Drama Center London (UAL). During her studies, she specialized in Laban-Malmgren technique, which if a physical approach to acting through movement. She also had the chance to perform at the Shakespeare Globe in London and The Vakthangov theatre in Moscow.

Sandrine has worn both hats, director and actor, which allows her to understand both realities and stakes. Intimacy coordination allied both of her principal interests and it’s the reason she decided to follow the path to be certified with Intimacy Coordinator Canada (ICC). She completed level 3, which allows her to work now as an IC on sets.

Sandrine now cumulated her experiences as an IC. She worked on features such as Sapin (director Stephane Moukarzel) and Oublier Charlotte (director Chloé Cinq-Mars), tv series such as Les cavaliers and 5e rang. She worked sometimes in partnership with Mimi Côté on projects.

Sandrine worked with all kinds of actors, professionals, non-professionals, young talents, etc. She also has experience as a teacher, which helps her to communicate quickly and simply. She’s a part-time teacher at Concordia University where she teaches the class «acting and directing for screen», she also was involved for several years with the nonprofit organization Wapikoni mobile which travels in different First Nation communities.
