Our Team
Intimacy Coordinators Québec (CIQ) represents a collective of certified intimacy coordinators and directors trained according to the methodologies of Intimacy Directors & Coordinators (IDC), Intimacy Professional Association (IPA), and Intimacy Coordinators Canada (ICC) for film, television, and theatre. These professionals have completed Canada's first certified intimacy coordination program (SAG-AFTRA) and represent the highest standard in the art of intimacy for the screen.
With their expertise, the members of Intimacy Coordinators Québec uphold rigorous, ethical, and honest artistic practices.

Mo Matton
(they/them)
Mo Matton is a queer and trans Intimacy Coordinator certified by Intimacy Coordinators Canada (ICC) and Intimacy Professionals Association (IPA).
With over 100 intimacy scene credits in Canada and internationally, and a decade of experience in the film industry, Mo also holds a Masters in Media Studies and a Bachelor in Film Studies and Gender Studies. Their approach is creative, compassionate and direct, attentive to the well-being of performers and to the artistic vision of the director. They are committed to providing a safer work experience, integrating anti-oppressive and consent-forward practices on set.
They have developed workshops on trans inclusion for the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) and facilitated Intimacy Coordinating educational workshops and talks for UDA, Festival du Nouveau Cinema (FNC) and various theatre and film faculties.

Mimi Côté (she/her)
Mimi Côté is an intimacy coordinator and choreographer based in Montreal and Toronto. She is certified by Intimacy Coordinators Canada (CAN) and the Intimacy Professionals Association (USA). With over 14 years of experience as an actress and stunt performer on various North American sets, from film to television to theatre, commercial, and video games, she has extensive expertise in preparing and executing scenes involving nudity, simulated sex, and/or sensitive content. In her approach, Mimi places great importance on celebrating the performers who bring those scenes to life on screen, as well as their creators. Her commitment is to provide productions with guidance that meets the highest industry standards for on-screen intimacy while also promoting optimal working environments for everyone involved. She firmly believes that the most memorable stories emerge primarily from dignity, creativity, and risk-taking.

Jen Viens
(they/them)
Jen Viens is a queer, non-binary intimacy coordinator, filmmaker and coach with over fifteen years of experience in film, television, and stage. Their career began in performance and quickly expanded into the realms of directing, producing, coaching, and finally, intimacy coordinating. The skills acquired in all of these roles benefit them in their work as an intimacy coordinator, especially the ability to emphathize and understand the process of performers and directors. In addition to a strong background in theatre and film, Jen has extensive training and experience in anti-oppression, conflict resolution, mental health support, constructive communication and anti-exclusionary practices. Jen also holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Sexuality Studies, and dedicates time to facilitating workshops on intimacy, consent, and gender equity. Jen is a Certified Intimacy Coordinator and is SAG-AFTRA recognized. Jen has a deep love for storytelling, and aims to make it a safer, healthier place, one intimate scene at a time.

EDUCATION
These intimacy coordinators do not currently work on set, but work with our team to raise awareness, educate, and mobilize the film and theatre communities regarding the implementation of best practices related to intimacy and consent.
Sandrine Brodeur-Desrosiers (she/her)
Sandrine is a filmmaker trained at Concordia University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Acting from the University of the Arts London and completed professional training in feature film screenwriting at L’INIS, where she specialized in movement through the Laban / Yat-Malmgren technique.
With experience both in front of and behind the camera, Sandrine later trained as an Intimacy Coordinator with Intimacy Coordinator Canada and joined CIQ, gaining on-set experience. She values collaboration and approaches each production as a member of the creative team, supporting the director’s vision while ensuring performers feel safe and supported. She has worked with performers of all backgrounds, including professionals, non-professionals, children, teenagers, and seniors.
Sandrine also works as a consultant for productions and a part-time instructor at Concordia University. She has collaborated with organizations including Wapikoni Mobile and is regularly invited to speak on educational panels about intimacy coordination.

Stephanie Breton (she/her)
Currently based in Portugal
With over 30 projects as an Intimacy Coordinator in less than 2 years, Stephanie has built an extensive resume. Some of the most known projects include Beau is Afraid (A24, Directed by Ari Aster), The Recruit (Netflix) and Plan B (S.1). Since 2018, she’s put in over 100 hours of training as an Intimacy Professional. For the stage with various teachers at IDC (Intimacy Directors and Coordinators) and since 2021 with ICC (Intimacy Coordinators Canada). She is a bilingual actor (ACTRA / UDA / CAEA member) that has been working for over 20 years in countless productions: on screen, in theatre and video games . She’s directed over a dozen theatre productions, both in French and English. She also has experience as a dramaturg and co-artistic director of a festival of short plays. She was also a figure skating coach and choreographer for almost 20 years and teaching Intimacy for the stage and screen is really a passion of hers.
