FAQ
Thank you for your interest in Intimacy Coordinators Québec (CIQ). Below you will find answers to frequently asked questions about our practice.
Do you offer training to become an intimacy coordinator?
Training to become an intimacy coordinator is currently suspended. Our team is currently full and no training is available until December 2028. We are unable to respond to individual requests on this subject, but we invite you to check our website regularly. You can also send us an email with your name and interest, and we will add your name to the waiting list for future training courses.
When should I contact an intimacy coordinator for my project?
Intimacy coordination work begins during pre-production. We encourage you to contact us as early as possible to ensure you receive the best possible support.
I'm not sure if I need an intimacy coordinator. How can I find out?
The best thing to do is to contact us by email or phone so that we can assess the specific needs of your project together.
Will hiring an intimacy coordinator take away from the spontaneity of my scenes?
No, on the contrary. An intimacy coordinator doesn’t limit spontaneity: they create a safe environment that allows artists to be open and more available in their performance. By establishing the limits, consent, and intentions of the scene in advance, spontaneity can be expressed in a more relaxed and creative way.
